What is it about?

This paper presents a genetic arithmetic and logical unit (ALU) design based on a series of genetic logic gates. The system shows the capability of computing and storage on the biocomputer.

Why is it important?

We propose an advanced idea for the combination of genetic logic gates and genetic devices to a complex system similar to ALU in the silicon computer. This can be a primitive architecture to the future biocomputer.

Perspectives

Interested research issues: realization of a variety of genetic cirecuits for specific functions from the viewpoint of electronic engineering.
