In this paper, we propose a new noise reduction method for seismic traces.

Why is it important?
The seismic traces are obtained in high noise level environment and, the interpretation of these kinds of noisy data without a previous smoothing can lead to wrong conclusions about a given seismic phenomenon.
Perspectives
The objective of this work is to bring to light issues related to the noise reduction of seismic traces so that, in this way, be possible a more reliable analysis regarding its attributes.
