What is it about?
The work deals with the localization of emitters of electromagnetic signals or pulses. To achieve geolocation of an electromagnetic transmitter three sensors are sufficient - for 3D localization four sensors are necessary. These are the minimal numbers of receivers.

Why is it important?
The results are implemented in algorithms which can be used for fast and accurate localization. Unbiased results with the theoretically minimal deviations are obtained.
Perspectives
Besides localization a static emitter, tracking of moving transmitters appears to be feasible.
