Demand responsel in smart grid using novel price modification algorithm

What is it about?

reshaping the load demand profile of smart grid via modifying the price signal based on demand response principle. This modification in price is performed in a way that encourages customers to change their consumption pattern in order to achieve maximum saving.

Why is it important?

The proposed price modification algorithm is formulated in such a way that maximises the customer saving due to changing the consumption pattern to be as close as possible to the predefined OCP. This closeness can be achieved by minimising the mismatch between the new and predefined OCPs.

This paper formulated an effective algorithm that encourages the customer to participate in the energy management process and follow the optimal consumption which is determined by the management system. This algorithm was formulated to ensure customer participation in DR by maximising their saving when following a certain consumption pattern
