Combining the forecasts sometimes come with the cost of capturing the sharp or extreme events. Therefore, this proposed post-processing is to improve the combined solar power forecasts in terms of the ramp events as well.

Perspectives

I think the solar power forecasts, especially the ramp events forecasting is challenging and valuable to the electric system with high-level integration of PV solar energy resources.
