The proposed technique is efficiently detecting islanding situation with all possible mismatch of active and reactive power. Further, it also remains immune to all kind of non-islanding event and not execute tripping command to disconnect the target DG.

This scheme is ready to implement in the relay algorithm for the detection of islanding situation for the protection of DG as well as the consumer in the distribution network containing DG.

Perspectives

This article is presenting new technique of islanding detection and can be implemented easily as it required very less mathematical computation. Further, this technique is very fast compared to the conventional passive methods of the islanding detection. Additionally, it has a great benefit of detecting islanding situation event with perfect power balance condition.
