What is it about?

Power Conversion Interface is important for a DC power supply system integrating the renewable power generation.

Why is it important?

For a distribution power system that integrates renewable power generators and electronic based loads, a DC grid is superior to an AC grid. However, the DC grid must be connected to the utility through a power conversion interface in order to balance the power between the renewable power generators and the electronic based loads. A power conversion interface is proposed to convert the power between a DC grid and a single-phase utility.

Perspectives

The interleaved AC-DC power converter can multiply the ripple frequency and reduce the ripple amplitude in both the DC input current and the output current. Only one current sensor is used to equalize the currents in two high-frequency arms and to control the output current of the interleaved AC-DC power converter. A DC hybrid power filter is used to suppress the low-frequency harmonic of the DC input current for the interleaved AC-DC power converter.
