Optimization of current harmonics in traction drives

What is it about?

Application of PSO algorithm to optimize current THD and torque harmonics in low frequency traction drive. The technique was based on Selective Harmonic Elimination and Selective Harmonic Mitigation and was designed for three-level VSI traction drive with asynchronous motor.

Why is it important?

The most important is the fact that using PSO both current THD and torque harmonics were optimizes in one time.
