What is it about?
Optical ring resonator can be used as sensor angular speed getting very low sensitivity ( degree/hour). The integration of such device can be a powerfull tool to develop new integrated photonics system to be used in aircrafts or satellites as a control instrument.

Why is it important?
The presented result give to the readers an important simplication to simulate middle and large optical ring resonator by using the well known Beam Propagation Method (BPM). This method is very fast and shows lower time and PC resources consuming.
