What is it about?

Combined with the radiation theory of the microstrip antenna, a way to broaden the beam-width is proposed as follows: The vertical current distributed on the electric walls is induced by E-field from the horizontal current on the patch. So the 3dB beam-width of the antenna is broadened by the vertical current and horizontal current.
