What is it about?
Antenna miniaturization is an important design goal for RF front-end designers. Traditionally, antennas and amplifiers are designed separately. We have explored co-designing of antennas and amplifiers which provides interesting benefits of antenna miniaturization and optimum amplifier gain and noise performances.

Why is it important?
For integrated RF front-end design, co-designing amplifier and antenna will provide smaller form factor as well as optimum performances.
Perspectives
This work attempts to design antennas and amplifier together which breaks the necessity of traditional 50-ohm based design necessity and improve the overall system performance. At the same time, the work also shows a new technique of antenna miniaturization by loading the amplifier.
