What is it about?

When an obstacle is close to an antenna, there is a variety of near-field effects usually not accounted for in conventional theories. This paper proposes an efficient, yet accurate method to deal with such scenarios. An antenna near a building wall is modeled by an array of dipoles, the radiation is analyzed and best orientations and stand-off distances are suggested for the antenna to have maximum penetration through the wall.
