What is it about?
Traditionally, the connection of wind power plants through HVDC lines is fixed to the nearest AC bus in the transmission power system. However, this point can be not the best for congestion in the system when the WPP's power is injected. The proposal is to consider the transmission system congestion as a criteria to determine the best interconnection point profiting the reactive power produced by the VSC converter.
