What is it about?

This is a method to fully estimate the state of electrical networks where the state is only partially known with the minumum (optimal) number of meters. The voltage and current waveforms may be distorted but periodical, so that the principle of walf-wave symmetry can be applied.

Why is it important?

It is a contribution to the power quality state estimation field , where the distorted periodic steady state in power networks is obtained by identifying the minimal number of meter to be used to fully assess the harmonic state of an unbalanced power network. The solution process is further enhanced with the application of the half-wabe symmetry principle, yet preserving the solution accuracy.

Perspectives

The proposed methof for hamonic state estimation in time domain can, consideing the its added tolos and characteristics can be potentially applied to the solution of power networks including diverse renewable energy sources and real time processing.
