Why is it important?

Studying many scenarios involving intermittent power sources could be very time consuming. The developed method could be used to perform numerous scenarios efficiently with a significant reduction in time execution and computing resources.

Perspectives

Due to complexity of developing time domain analysis of large scale power systems, it is expected that time series simulation will play a significant role in future power systems planing and design especially with the increase of renewable energy sources and controllable loads. Consequently, developing efficient steady state models that able to solve a specific time period under a set of a various operating conditions is very important. The current work is a small contribution to establish these simulation tools.
