What is it about?

The paper is mainly focus on capacitor balancing scheme in DSTATCOM applications. It provide a novel combined control for load compensation and capacitor voltage equalization

Why is it important?

The paper provide a control which is more effective than conventional capacitor balancing schemes. Further, it minimizes the need of PI controller reducing tuning complexities. Also, the proposed method shows an improved performance in terms of THD, PF in steady state and transient conditions. The results are provided using MATLAB and PSCAD and validated experimentally.

Perspectives

The aim behind the proposed control is to provide a novel scheme which will be more simpler and effective with multiple benefits.
