What is it about?

We have proposed a equivalent circuit model to represent common mode and differential model impedance characteristics of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM).

Why is it important?

This proposed model is able to depict both common mode and differential model impedance characteristics of the motor in high accuracy, especially in the middle frequency range (10 kHz to 1 MHz) compared with other presented models.

Perspectives

In my opinion, this proposed model is able to depict both common mode and differential model impedance characteristics of the motor in high accuracy. Also, the model can be directly applied in simulation tools to calculate the high-frequency harmonic components of the adjustable speed drive (ASD) system effectively. Therefore, this high-frequency model is expected to provide more valuable instructions in studying conducted electromagnetic interference emissions existed in the ASD system.
