What is it about?
Control of electrical distribution systems based on agents that cooperate in swarms
Featured Image
Why is it important?
We propose an agent-based control concept for distrubution systems that is capable of controlling the voltage inside of the distribution system as well as supporting the transmission system with reactive power. There is no single point of failure in the system as no centralized controller is used. Each agent action is determined by the agents themselves. For local cooperation in distrbution systems the agents form so called swarms. The proposed approach enables the complete system to benefit from the capabilities of the individual system participants (loads, PVs, HPs,EVs etc.) without central knowledge collection about all individuals.
