What is it about?
Protection switching is very important to recover from network failures. In this paper, we show that fault recovery over 4000 tunnels based on hardware is completely protected within sub-50ms.

Why is it important?
Conventional software-based linear protection switching can recover from dozens of failures within sub-50ms. Our proposed hardware-based linear protection switching allows simultaneous recovery in less than sub-50ms for more than 4,000 faults.
Perspectives
We hope that this article can contribute to network stabilization by quickly recovering multiple faults in an MPLS-TP network.
