Oil-spill detection using hybrid-pol data through reconstruction technique

What is it about?

Oil-spill detection using hybrid-pol data has been carried out through a novel λ-based reconstruction approach. Initially, the proposed λ-based method is experimented over two different datasets, which concludes that the proposed method is a better alternative for oil-spill detection in comparison with conventional Souyris' and state-of-art Espeseth's reconstruction methods. Moreover, by utilising the λ-based method, a new oil spill index parameter is being proposed for oil-spill detection.
