What is it about?
Sensing period optimization is an important task in MAC layer based sensing in order to increase the spectrum utilization opportunities for secondary users. We have applied Jaya algorithm for multiobjective optimization of sensing period, interference time and overhead time.

Why is it important?
Very simple, recent and an efficient optimization algorithm has been applied to optimize the sensing period. This algorithm results in faster convergence along with higher number of spectrum opportunities as compared to previous approach.
