What is it about?

Iterative readback-aided detection for the improvement of channel-detection output regarding HDS systems.

Why is it important?

We used a readback information, i.e. upgraded information, to support iterative detection scheme. The proposed model was more effective than the earlier models, with the attainment of an approximate 1 dB to 2 dB gain; of especial significance, the performance of the proposed model was slightly superior under high misalignment conditions. Moreover, we proved the accuracy of the upgraded information has had a very important role in improving the system performance.

Perspectives

This is a very good paper. The proposed scheme outperforms the earlier models basing on the support of extrinsic information. We also proved how important the accuracy of the extrinsic information was for improving the system performance.
