What is it about?
Using stochastic geometry method, performance analysis of coordinated multipoint joint transmission can be easily and effectively conducted . We calculate the ergodic capacity, quantify the backhaul capacity and propose two performance metrics including successful serving probability and effective ergodic probability.

Why is it important?
Firstly, BC of a typical AP is explicitly quantified to measure the backhaul consumption for data sharing. Secondly, we propose two performance metrics including successful serving probability (SSP) and effective ergodic capacity (EEC). The former is propounded to capture APs’ robustness to limited BC while the latter aims at performance analysis from a network perspective.
