Telemedicine and e-health are the most focused areas and gained more enhancement with the integration of ICT and Big data. The efficiency of e-health and telemedicine greatly rely on the type of communication incorporated. The selection of cheaper and safer communication with good service quality is a challenging task in system designing.

he combination of wired and wireless communication medium is proved to be more efficient and more secure for data transmission. The concept of e-health and telemedicine bring revolution in the health industry with the availability of remote patient monitoring, disaster management, and control and secure data transmission from a remote location to the health professional.

The presented work explore the concept of e-health and telemedicine along with the utilization of advantages of ICT and big data. The paper also addresses the obstacles related to the communication infrastructure such as system cost, and it's standard.
