A stable numerical technique for a convecion dominated source problem

What is it about?

Numerical oscillations occurs in the convection dominated problems. Upwinding schemes are suggested to overcome this problem by modifying the Galerkin weighing functions. We have found a new and a robust way to tackle this problem without modifying the original Galerkin scheme for a moving condcutor problem. This is achieved through the pole-zero cancellation technique.

Why is it important?

Stability is achieved without invoking any sort of 'upwinding' technique.
