Switch Count Reduced for multilevel inverters

What is it about?

In investigated structures for increasing two levels in voltage, two switches should be added to structure. In the proposed structure for increasing two levels in voltage, only a switch should be added to the structure. It is clear that the proposed structure shows remarkable improvement in switch count reduction.

Why is it important?

In the proposed structure, switch-diode-source cells are considered in the basic structures which results a significant improvement in terms of switches and drivers count. It is important to mention that there is no reverse current problem, which is yielded from diode presence, in the proposed structure.
