What is it about?

This paper is intended to reveal the mechanism behind electrical oscillations observed in the grid-tie Voltage-source-converter, as well as the stability issues.

Why is it important?

To learn the small-signal-stability of VSC in the perspective of physical understanding is important. This paper is a complementary work to the impedance-based stability analysis tool, which is numerical-oriented. This paper gives physical insights, and comes up with an analytical stability criterion.
