What is it about?
Temporal region is the best location for drowsy monitoring sensor location. Delta band power increased significantly from alert state to drowsy state. A threshold index can be setup to clearly discriminate drowsy state from alert state.

Why is it important?
Findings in the research makes a fundamental data for prototyping a vehicle based brain sensor system to monitor the metal status inducing drowsy state. Such sensor system can reduce the vehicle accident rate and save lives.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also leads to development of brain computer interface (BCI) in advanced Driving Assistant System.
