A proposed method to robustly design a decentralized power system stabilizer units for an interconnected power system. An optimal mathematical approach to enhance the dynamic characteristics of a single machine connected to an infinite bus power system.

Why is it important?

This work is important as it provides an optimal solution for the PSSs design beside conserving the robustness of the controller and avoiding its fragility. This is a unique satisfactory proposal due its practicality and simplicity. It is a linear control design that can stabilize the whole predetermined operating conditions.


this publication is a main step towards mathematically design of robust optimal power system stabilizers for large interconnected power systems.
