What is it about?
Flash type ADC is the fastest ADC and it is best suited for high-speed applications. Flash ADC consists of comparator(analog part) and encoder(digital part). Comparator output generates error due to offset or gain error. This error is termed as bubble error which is a logic 'LOW' output. To overcome this error and to make the encoder part efficient and fast, the methodology and comparative design are carried out. A novel bubble error corrector is designed which gives an edge over the other correctors.

Why is it important?
Simulated values and analysis of the proposed encoder design show improvement as compared to other encoders. The design will increase the overall performance of flash ADC. It will increase the effective number of bits(ENOB) and SNR of the ADC as well.
Perspectives
This article is really helpful to those who want to explore Flash ADC encoder designs. Its been a privilege to work with Dr. Gaurav Trivedi and Dr. Rajesh Kumar. All the support I got from EICT Academy Guwahati and NERIST Arunachal Pradesh is exemplary. Thanks to Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme initiated by Meity India which helped me financially and directed me towards my goals.
