Spiking neural network approaches pca with metaheuristics

Why is it important?

We have done numerical experiments using bench mark data on which the PCA has been computed. These results are approached with a spiking neural network, whose synaptic conductances were determined with the metaheuristic method of Artificial Bee Colony. The results were compared with the Matlab PCA module and this comparison showed an aceptable error. The underliyng metaheuristic method in this work might help in the programming task of neuromorphic hardware.
