What is it about?

This research gathers perspectives from various school-based SLPs on their experiences with graduate school training in the area of multiculturalism. We explored how this impacts their service provision and continuing education.

Why is it important?

The United States is getting more diverse every year and its imperative that graduate programs adequately train future SLPs to serve diverse populations well while also instilling cultural humility and responsiveness along the way.

Perspectives

I believe this is one group of voices to be heard in a large global discussion on DEI in our field of Speech-Language Pathology.
