What is it about?

Individuals with aphasia due to stroke are commonly thought to remain stable in their language abilities once entering the chronic stage of recovery. The present study evaluated demographic information of a large sample of individuals in the chronic stage of aphasia recovery to identify potential predictors of language recovery. Factors that influenced recovery included treatment, age of stroke onset, and presence of diabetes.
