Novel approaches to measuring jaw tension in children with CP, down syndrome, and healthy controls

What is it about?

The contribution of muscle tone abnormalities to the speech production of children with motor speech disorders is unclear. This investigation was designed to assess jaw tension in children with hypertonia (e.g., spastic cerebral palsy), hypotonia (e.g. Down syndrome), and healthy speech using novel physiologic approaches.
