What is it about?

This research reports the yield of bio-oil from cotton seed press cake (CSPC) via an optimized thermo-catalytic pyrolysis using nickel impregnated zeolite Y, hydrogen catalyst. A GC-MS examination of the bio-oil produced under optimum conditions revealed that it is a mixture of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, phenols and alcohols, some of which have properties appropriate for usage as fuel.
