What is it about?

Top Emitting OLEDs exhibit a strong microcavity effect. As a result, the characteristics shown on the front and side are very different. Therefore, we have developed a film that can cause omnidirectional scattering to solve this problem, and have shown that this film is a good solution to drastically reduce viewing angle dependence.

Why is it important?

When OLED is applied to TV with much higher resolution display than now, top emission structure will be essential to be applied. However, if bad angle visibility shown in AMOLED applied to mobile display can not be solved, OLEDs could be excluded from the TV applications.
