Binder free three-dimensional sulphur/few-layer graphene foam cathode

What is it about?

In this work, we demonstrate the design and preparation of a lightweight sulfur cathode, which is made by loading sulfur on to a network of graphene. In an important breakthrough we have shown that sulfur cathode system can be incorporated within a Li-S battery without using the following conventional auxiliary battery components of binding agents, conductive additives (such as C-black) and a metallic current collector at the cathode.
