What is it about?

Fundamental understanding of mode of enzyme actions for deconstruction of biopolymer network and surface phenomenon occurring at the biopolymer surfaces are very important. It is expected that this understanding would enable us to choose correct enzymes based on its action to develop tools for biopolymer deconstruction and its further conversion to desired liquid fuels. This not only enable us to utilize a wide variety of abundant biomass but also upgrade our available enzymatic techniques.
