What is it about?

To minimize the high costs of ionic liquids, we evaluated the use of aqueous ionic liquids, as well as aqueous deep eutectic solvents, for pretreating cellulosic biomass and found some aqueous ionic systems are effective for improving the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose.
