way of making phase separated ionic liquid with water

What is it about?

Both water soluble lysine- and aspartic acid-based amino acid ionic liquids (AAILs) were mixed to prepare polar AAILs but its hydrophilicity was lowered and showing phase separation with water.

Why is it important?

It is very interesting to prepare ionic liquids showing phase separation with water by mixing hydrophilic ionic liquids. Many applications are waiting!
