What is it about?
The adhesion and proliferation of fibroblasts was favored when we used magnetic hydrogels and exposed them to neodymium magnets. All cells cultivated under magnetic exposition presented higher contents of calcium ions.

Why is it important?
Magnetic stimulation is cheap and non-invasive. Our findings show that the influx of calcium ions was stimulated by magnetic field, favoring the cell growth. Thus, magnetic stimulation can be used as an easy strategy for tissue engineering.
