What is it about?

A simple, fast and reliable technique was established to analyze thiol compounds in different parts of rice samples.

Why is it important?

Thiols are low level and easy to be oxidized, making their quantification difficult to achieve. Using sensitivity and resolution of UPLC, we were able to separate and determine each thiol molecule in a short time (around 30 min per sample). This technique will save both time and reagent in the analysis of thiols.
