Why is it important?
Host-guest complexes between two or more metal complexes are uncommon. In this study it is explained why certain pi-decorating ligands favor dinuclear complex and why another such lignad results in formation of host guest complex between two mononuclear zinc complexes.
Perspectives
Serach for host guest complexes between neutral metal complexes will continue to generate interest. This study is an early attempt in which we have shown why a praticular pi-decorating ligand favor dinuclear complex and why another favor host guest complexes between mono-nuclear complexes.
