Why is it important?

As more researchers enter the field of artificial photosynthesis, there is a need for a brief tutorial into the possible chemical oxidants that can be used to study water oxidation complexes. This review is designed to enable researchers in the field, new and old, to rapidly determine the ideal oxidant to use to generate meaningful experimental results.
