What is it about?

With the measurement of just one isotherm, we can now predict the corresponding isosteric heat of adsorption to within 15-20%. This is just not possible with conventional methods, and makes for a very convenient predictive tool.

Why is it important?

Measuring heat of adsorption is difficult, but measuring an adsorption isotherm is easy and fairly reliable. With just one isotherm measurement, we can now predict the corresponding heat of adsorption fairly reliably. This makes for quick process design, and engineering decision making.
