A bowl shaped molecules as anion capture

What is it about?

Anion can exist as good or bad molecules. Bad anions such as sulfate or nitrate can bring harm to human or aquatic organism. In order to capture the bad anions in water, we have synthesized a series of molecules with bowl shaped structure as the molecular receptor. On the other hand, the anions are hold inside the bowl shaped molecules with hydrogen bond interactions. The molecules present in this article are built by combining organic linker and metal ions as the main component.
