What is it about?

Magnetic nanoparticles - particles barely bigger than a pinch of a few glucose molecules -may release heat under the action of an alternating current (AC) magnetic field. This effect can be harnessed to deliver localised heat to tumoral tissues, killing cancer cells and leaving healthy tissues unaffected.
