What is it about?
This paper proposes a novel soft ionic liquid (IL) electrically functional device that displays resistive memory characteristics using poly (acrylic acid) partial sodium salt (PAA-Na+:H2O) solution gel and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in a thin polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) cylindrical microchannel. The proposed device operates on a principle of ion concentration polarization. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristics are observed at ±1.5 V with high resistive state (HRS) with Roff of ~ 453035.965 Ω and low resistive state (LRS) with Ron of ~ 2248.237 Ω at read voltage of 0.15 V with Roff/Ron ratio of ~ 210.507 with 500 endurance cycles and retention time of 104 sec.
