Experimental and numerical study of the growth of langatate crystals by the Czochralski method

What is it about?

This study consists of a combined experimental and numerical effort to investigate the Czochralski growth of Langatate, one of the most promising materials for Surface and Bulk Acoustic Waves applications. We showed how a modification in the Czochralski furnace resulted in crack-free single crystals with high reproducibility.

Why is it important?

Langatate and generally Langasite family crystals, will become the basic acoustoelectronic material in the 21st century.
