Silicene: Hydrogen Storage materials

What is it about?

Silicene is the latest sensation in nano materials. It just like grapheme thought it has a buckled (puckered) structure. In turns out that this buckling makes it a very good material to store hydrogen which can be used to generate energy in a clean manner.

Why is it important?

Silicene can store hydrogen high efficiently which can make this into a new and affordable technology.
